The paper titled “ Tensor renormalization group approach to entanglement entropy” is now available in Journal of High Energy Physics
We have developed a new method for numerically computing entanglement entropy, a quantity widely used as a measure of quantum entanglement, in (1+1)-dimensional quantum many-body systems. This work was carried out in collaboration with Dr. Gota Tanaka from the Faculty of Mathematical Informatics at our university. Using a numerical technique known as the tensor network method, we proposed an algorithm that enables the efficient calculation of entanglement entropy for subsystems of various sizes.
Quantum entanglement is a key concept in quantum information theory and is widely studied as a nonclassical phenomenon intrinsic to quantum mechanics. The method developed in this work is expected to facilitate further studies of quantum entanglement through computer simulations and contribute to a deeper understanding of fundamental physics from the perspective of quantum information theory.
