Lecture Title: Stability and Maximization of Matching Size
Abstract:
Maximizing the size or weight of bipartite matchings is a classic and fundamental combinatorial optimization problem. On the other hand, in the theory of preference-based matchings, such as those between individuals or between individuals and organizations, properties like stability and popularity are highly valued. This lecture will introduce the relationships between these problems and provide an explanation of algorithm design techniques for related optimization challenges.
